And here then is the Second time that God commanded Moses to build an “idol” for worship

Num.21: 8-9  And the LORD said to Moses, "Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and every one who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live." So Moses made a bronze serpent, and set it on a pole; and if a serpent bit any man, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.

So here we have TWO precise examples of god himself commanding  mortal men to build “idols” and “create images of worship.”

 So then God is a sinner? 

OF COURSE NOT!  AND THE REASON IS BECAUSE GOD AND CATHOLICS ARE DOING THE VERY SAME THING. MAKING SOMETHING THTAT REMINDS HUMANITY OF ALMIGHTY GOD. …

SOMETHING THAT AS AN END USE; DOES GIVE WORSHIP TO GOD through SOMETHING ELSE.

Our friend Thomas and many Protestants either ignore these “idols” that God initiated and actually commanded of Moses,; or attempt  to cast them in a different light. But read about them in your own bible. Those command by God and the express purpose are exceedingly clear and precise.

It ought to be completely clear that God does NOT prohibit statues or images. The ONLY issue God prohibits is “false-god”  images and statues whose purpose is to compete with God as “alter-gods.” This is NOT what we Catholics do, as the Saints and Mary His Mother bring us closer to God. They are “a means to an end; not the end unto themselves.” Nor is it a absolute requirement to do so. Piety is a personal option and ones private expression of ones own relationship with God, Mary and the Saints.

 

2^nd. Peter 1: 16-21  “You will do well to pay attention to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
